Ah I remembered I had a good topic for this forum. Over on Neo we have come up with a really good theory for Broly. Movie 8 takes place in a timeline where Vegeta has killed Semi Cell. Everyone comes back to the Lookout to rejoice in Earth being saved and the group is reminded that Goku and Gohan are still training their butts off in the Rosat. Piccolo offers to go get them and informs them of the news. Goku decides to leave as he doesn't want to waste any more time in the Rosat than necessary. Goku has always been very strict with the Rosat time, leaving it in 9 months in the manga and telling the boys not to use it to prepare for Fat Buu. Goku and Gohan leave and have increased their power mightily, but are nowhere near their CG counterparts. Goku and Gohan have caught up to Vegeta and Trunks Grade 2 level of power. Goku is obviously a bit stronger than Vegeta, but not god like so. Gohan is a bit under Trunks. All in the same general vicinity though. As Goku and Gohan exit the Rosat they notice Piccolo is not joining them. Piccolo tells them that everyone is so far ahead of them he wishes to catch up. Piccolo goes and trains, Goku and Gohan go about their day. Chi Chi wants Goku to get a job now that Cell is gone and the rest of the group are celebrating Vegeta's victory. Paragus shows up and the movie continues as is. The reason Piccolo doesn't join the group is because he was training. Later Mr. Popo informs Piccolo of the Legendary Super Saiyan threat and Piccolo exits the Rosat early as well. He's caught up to the group, but he's still a chunk weaker than Gohan who is the weakest Ssj. RSSJ Broly is the movie version of Base Cell. The one who fought Grade 2 Vegeta, Grade 3 Trunks, and Warm Up Goku. Goku in M8 is probably a decent chunk behind Warm Up Goku in the manga, say 80% or so. Grade 2 Vegeta and Trunks are their manga counterparts. So RSSJ Broly is Base Cell and LSSJ Broly is somewhere around the Powered Up Cell who fought Goku and Gohan. Why is Broly so weak? He's been in a restrictive state for years, it has siphoned off his potential and he has been weakened by the restriction. As we see 7 years later, Broly's SSj is now above MSSJ Goku ( Buu Saga ) , which is ridiculously more powerful than anything showed in M8. Gohan's he's as bad as ever meaning Ssj Broly > LSSj Broly actually makes sense and Broly can sit comfortably where he belongs. In 7 years even in a coma, Broly has undergone a massive power up being removed from his restrictive state. Brolys power is limitless and the Z Team were lucky to meet him in some of the worst conditions of his life. It helps explain why Broly is so weak in M8. What do you guys think/ |

Moved topic. I dunno really, it seems this theory is going off a lot of assumptions. I've always assumed it was during the Cell games based on the outfits worn by everyone. Gohan had the outfit Piccolo made for him before the Games. Trunks actually was wearing the same outfit he wore after SPC's defeat, when he killed Cell in the Future. And I think Vegeta had the same gear that he had on since pre-RoSaT. |

Piccolo and Vegeta are heavily haxed, that's for sure. Either that, or Gohan was nerfed to Hell I usually don't believe in hax, but in this case, the feats prove it |

Well that's why this theory removes the need for nerf or has and makes a very reasonable assumption of how it all played out. |

I have RSSJ Broly a bit above Semi-Perfect Cell. I have SSJ Broly equal to a Cell Junior. Lastly I have LSSJ Broly above FPSSJ Gohan(Cell Games) |

Super Saiyan Broly M10 is stated to have power that exceeds Goku's ( Buu Saga ) in the guidebooks. And Yea I think LSSJ Broly M8 is probably around MSSJ Tier. |

After not this last break, but the long one I took before that... it gave me time to come back with a fresh look and not even care about the Broli overpowering. I then believed M8 Broli was around Perfect Cell and M10 was right under Mr. Boo. I still believe this too. |

Funny thing about the Daizenshuu entry; that could very well be referring to Cell Games Goku. Goku is dead, and his Buu arc power level hadn't been seen up to that point. |

If you believe this, then that means M8 LSSJ Broly is too. M8 LSSJ Broly ~ M10 SSJ Broly > SSJ Boo Goku So M8 Broly would be well over FPSSJ level according to what you just said. |

Could be, but Goku does seem like he's the boss when he comes around in M10. Yep. He's as bad a monster as ever... Super Saiyan Broly > Super Saiyan Goku > LSSJ Broly M8 ~ Perfect Cell ( Vs Goku and Gohan ) Something like that more or less Saiyan. Edited by p123, Jun 19 2014, 11:24 PM.
